SUMMER EXPANDED LEARNING PROGRAM
In partnership with Susanville School District, the Lassen County Office of Education Lassen After School Programs is pleased to offer a Summer Expanded Learning Program at McKinley School this year for those entering K (if they were enrolled in the TK class) through 5th grade. Students must have been enrolled in the District before April 15 to be eligible for the program. The Program will run from June 13 to July 22, 2022, and will be closed Monday, July 4, 2022.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
Each day, campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including reading challenges; book club; sports and recreation; arts and crafts; science, technology, engineering, and math; and gardening. Our schedule will include a healthy dose of good old-fashioned fun. Each week’s activities will focus on a theme that campers are sure to love. Our goal is to excite students' curiosity, wonder, and imagination.
Students will have the opportunity to work with a credentialed classroom teacher each morning to receive support with their academic skills from June 13 to July 7. Our commitment is to create opportunities to explore, using hands-on learning and a camp-like atmosphere. Campers will practice using academic skills through reading, math, writing, social studies, science, and physical activities.
